Which Animation Format Do I Need?

Match your 3D software to the right MoCap Online animation format — FBX, BIP, Unreal, Unity, Blender, or iClone.

Written by Kyle Blietz

Every MoCap Online animation pack is available in six professional formats. Choose the one that matches your software:

Quick Reference

Unreal Engine 4 or 5 → UE (Unreal Engine)
Unity 2019+ → Unity
Blender 2.8+ → Blender
3ds Max (Biped/Character Studio) → BIP
Reallusion iClone 7+ → iClone
Maya, MotionBuilder, Cinema 4D, or anything else → FBX

Not sure? Start with FBX

FBX is the universal motion capture format. It works with virtually any 3D software that supports skeletal animation. If your software isn't listed above, FBX is almost certainly the right choice.
